Shrikhand is a Maharashtrian sweet dish made of strained dahi (yogurt).
History
Shrikhand has been referred to as "Shikhrini" in the Sanskrit literature. According to Jashbhai B. Prajappati and Baboo M. Nair, it originated in ancient India, around 400 BCE in a region synonymous with the present-day state of Maharashtra.[1]
