Hanumanthunipadu mandal is one of the mandals in the Kanigiri revenue division in thePrakasam district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.[1]

History[edit]

In 1970, Prakasam district was formed from parts of Guntur, Kurnool, and Nellore districts.[2]

Geography[edit]

Hanumanthunipadu mandal covers an area of 407 sq km.[3]

Demographics[edit]

According to the 2011 census, Hanumanthunipadu mandal has a population of 30,964.[3]

The literacy rate in Hanumanthunipadu mandal was 50.52%.[3]

Education[edit]

Zilla Parishad High School, established in 1963 at Hanumanthunipadu, is a Telugu medium coeducational institution, having facilities for teaching from class VI to class X.[4]
