Hanumanthunipadu is a village in the Prakasam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the headquarters of Hanumanthunipadu mandal (administrative centre) in Kandukur revenue division.[1]

Ongole district was created in 1970 with three revenue divisions of Kurnool, Guntur and Nellore districts. In 1972, it was renamed Prakasam district in memory of Tanguturi Prakasam, freedom fighter, chief Minister of undivided Madras state and the first chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
