Narula Institute of Technology (NiT) is an autonomous private degree engineering college in West Bengal, India, situated in Agarpara, Kolkata.^[1] The college is affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). It is one of seven colleges under the JIS Group, a Sikh minority group and a member of Association of Minority Professional Academic Institutes (AMPAI).^[2]

Admission[edit]

Admission for B. Tech. courses is held through WBJEE and JEE Main. Admission for M. Tech. courses is held through GATE and PGET.^[1]

Affiliations[edit]

The college is affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT).^[4] It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for the years 2015–2016,^[5] accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a "B" grade until the end of 2019,^[6] and some of the courses also have National Board of Accreditation (NBA) accreditation for the year 2018 or 2019.^[7]

Ranking[edit]

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked Narula Institute of Technology in 160 in 2019.^[8]
In 2020, Narula institute of technology could not hold any rank in the NIRF ranking list.

Placement and training[edit]

The college has its own P&T cell with dedicated staff. The majority of the placement are categorized under BPO, EPO, and Call center services.
