Atmakur mandal
Atmakur mandal is one of the 38 mandals in the Nellore district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.[1] It is a part of Atmakur revenue division

HistoryEdit
Nellore district formed part of the composite Madras State till 1 October 1953. On 1 November 1956 when the states were reorganized on a linguistic basis, this district came under the Andhra Pradesh State.[2]
In 1970 Prakasam district was formed from parts of Guntur, Kurnool, and Nellore districts.[3]
Tirupati District formed from a part of old Chittoor district and a part from old Nellore district on 4 April 2022.[4]
The name of Nellore district has been changed as Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore District on 4 June 2008.[2]
