Shiv Shakti Temple, Bhagalpur is a Hindu Temple devoted to Lord Shiva (Narmadeshwarnath) and Goddess Parvati. It is one of the Narmadeshwarnath temples in India with a Narmadeshwar Shivling established.It is a sacred space and one of the important temples of Hinduism in Bhagalpur. One of the beautiful temple in the city, especially crowded during Maha Shivaratri and Sawan Month .There is a high gathering of local people during Aarti every evening. It also has a golden shikhar which looks beautiful from outside.[1][2][3]

Description

It is a Hindu temple devoted to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is built according to Nagara-Style Architecture (North Indian Architecture). It is said that the temple is more than 100 years old which was later renovated in 1990 by the local people. This temple is located near Akashvani Bhagalpur. In morning the day temple is started with a holy, harmonious bhajan. During the holy month of Sawan , this temple don't get any rest as all the Kawariya pass through this temple before visiting the Baidyanath.This temple is usually too busy during Maha Shivaratri.[4]

How to reach

Shiv Shakti Temple is 1.8 km from Bhagalpur Railway Station. You can reach Budhanath via Train to Bhagalpur Junction in 10–20 minutes.

By Air: Deoghar Airport is the nearest functional airport to Narmadeshwarnath.
