Congress leader Rahul Gandhi termed the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, the flagship scheme of the BRS government in Telangana, the “ATM of KCR’s family”.[22] He made the remarks after visiting the Medigadda Barrage.[23] The barrage has come under scrutiny of the National Dam Safety Authority after six piers in its seventh block showed signs of damage and leakage.[24][25]

Dharani portalEdit

The Dharani portal, an Integrated Land Records System launched by the incumbent BRS government as part of land reforms and to aid farmers in the distribution of the Rythu Bandhu scheme to beneficiaries, has been contested by opposition parties, alleging that it was created to grab the lands of poor farmers.[26] The BJP chief, J. AftermathEdit

The Congress and its ally, the CPI, won a combined 65 seats. Telangana PCC president Revanth Reddy was widely credited with the success of his party in the polls.[56] Congress state in-charge Masoor Khan stated that Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra worked in favour in the Congress in Telangana.[57] The Congress' landslide victory in neighbouring Karnataka a few months earlier was also emphasised as a major boost for the Congress in the state.[58] Congress Party poll strategist Sunil Kanugolu was also highlighted in the media for his efforts.[59]

Following the declaration of the results, Andhra PCC Congress leaders in Andhra Ratna Bhavan broke into celebrations. Andhra PCC president Gidugu Rudra Raju said that traditional Congress voters will come back to the party in AP and that the party's success in Telangana would invigorate the cadre in the state ahead of the 2024 elections.[60]
