Geetha Arts (formerly known as Geetha Art Productions, Geetha Cine Enterprises , Geetha Creative Arts) is an Indian film production and distribution company established in 1972 by Allu Aravind.[1] The company is based in Hyderabad and has produced around 60 films in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi languages.

Though Geetha Arts is known for its big-budget films, the company marked its beginning by producing a small-budget movie Banthrotu Bharya in 1974. Geetha Arts has made movies featuring actors such as Chiranjeevi, Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, V Ravichandran, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun,[2][3] Ganesh, Nani, Ram Charan, and Vijay Deverakonda.

After consolidating the film production business, Geetha Arts expanded its presence into film distribution, exhibition and digital content.

Aha[edit]

Allu Aravind in association with MyHome Group owner Rameswar Rao Jupally started OTT named "Aha" which went live on Feb 08,2020.

Film production[edit]

Jalsa, a Telugu film starring Pawan Kalyan grossed $10 million at the box office. Their next – Ghajini, a Bollywood movie starring Aamir Khan grossed over $45 million at box office. Magadheera, a big-budget swords and sandal epic that grossed $25 million at the box office.

Distribution[edit]

Over the last 15 years, Geetha Film Distributors (GFD), a subsidiary of Geetha Arts has released over 300 Telugu, Hindi and English films in Andhra Pradesh and is one of the leading distributors in the state. Geetha Arts is one company in Andhra Pradesh that has a studio-style functioning of having a production wing along with distribution channels.[6]
