GY locomotives used to be predominantly the regular links for trains traveling on the South Central Railway zone . It currently has a link of 54 Diesel locos and handles prestigious trains like the Krishna Express & Sampark Kranti Express, Circar Express and Kongu Express, fast passengers trains and Link Express trains. It handles routine maintenance on WDG-4 locos.[2]
