The 22625 / 22626 Chennai–Bangalore AC Double Decker Express is a Double Decker Express connecting Chennai Central and Bangalore City. It is the 1st AC Double Decker Express in South India.[1][2][3]
This train uses LHB coaches. A Royapuram WAP-7 & Arakkonam WAP-4 locomotive, which are the powerful passenger electric locomotives of Indian Railways,[4] is used to haul it. WAP-7 number 30332 of Royapuram Electric Loco Shed hauled the Inaugural Special.
Accommodations[edit]

This train comprises AC double decker chair car 8 & 2 luggage/parcel and generator cum brake van which is provided with the guards' cabin. Total coach composition is 10.[5]

All the coaches have three different levels and are fitted with semi-reclining cushion seats.
Stoppages[edit]
The train stops at Arakkonam Junction, Katpadi Junction, Ambur, Vaniyambadi, Jolarpettai Junction, Kuppam, Bangarpet, Krishnarajapuram, Bangalore Cantonment and the train No.22626 also stops at Perambur towards Chennai Central.
