Sanjeev Arora is an Indian businessman and politician from Aam Aadmi Party who is nominated for the upper house in the Indian parliament, Rajya Sabha. No opposition candidate opposed his election.[1] His term in the Rajya Sabha as a member from Punjab tenure starting from 10 April 2022.[2][3][4]
Brief Profile of Sanjeev Arora[edit | edit source]
Rajya Sabha member from Punjab, tenure starting from 10 April 2022 Sanjeev Arora. 58 Years Old is in Business since 1986. He has run a very Successful Export House with own Manufacturing facilities in Ludhiana in the name of Ritesh Industries Ltd. Main exports were to USA with its own office in Virginia. From 2006 onwards, he diversified into Real Estate by changing the name of Company to Ritesh Properties & Industries Ltd (RPIL). RPIL has developed a State-of-the-Art Industrial Park in Ludhiana on NH-05. There are around 70 industries already working in this project. There is no such Industrial Park in North of India. In 2019 he ventured into non-ferrous metal business in name & style of Teneron Limited with a tie-up with Suzuki Motors Gujarat plant under the Make-in-India scheme. Presently the company is growing at a CAGR of more than 50% since last 3 years with projected turnover in FY22-23 at Rs. 700 Cr.
Also, under his leadership a Brand “Femella” for Women's Wear has been launched in 2008 under Company named as Femella Fashions Ltd. This Brand is sold on almost all online portals. Brand is available on all major portals and its own portal. Company has its own Designing, Merchandising, Customer Service & Marketing facility in Gurgaon. Company has an average growth of around 30% annually in last 3 years. It is one of the most popular online Women's wear brands. Femella is sold on all major portals such as Myntra, Jabong, Amazon, Flipkart, Reliance AJio, Tata Cliq, Nykaa etc. Femella's web portal is www.femella.in.[5]
CSR Activities taken[edit | edit source]
A Charitable Trust has been formed by him under the name of “Krishna Pran Breast Cancer Charitable Trust”. Trust was formed in name of his parents who suffered & died due to cancer. Having seen his parents suffer from this disease although they had all the resources, this trust was formed to minimize the sufferings amongst the poor. This trust was formed in 2005. Till date more than 160 cancer patients have been treated free of cost under this trust. Cancer patient once adopted by Trust is treated as long as treatment is required in his/her life. Many camps in Rural & Urban areas have also been held. At any given time, treatment of around 30 patients is regularly being taken care of. Most of these patients are treated in Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana.
Also, a Website has been launched as https://www.krishnabcc.com/index.html[6] to help society with knowledge on Cancer. In this website it has been explained in detail how trust is helping the society. Not only treatment but also medicines are provided free of cost till the time patient survives. Sanjeev Arora is also on Governing Board of Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana and other Social organisations. He is also member of Apex Council of Punjab Cricket Association. He is also member of Ved Mandir Trust, Daresi, Ludhiana. He has been Secretary of Sutlej Club, Ludhiana a prime institution of Punjab for 2 consecutive terms.
During Covid, Trust has helped a lot to Ludhiana District Administration by providing Ambulances, PPE Kits & Sanitizers. Also, Trust has donated Ventilator & Dialysis Machine to Dr BR Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences, Mohali.
