Panagar is a town with municipality in Jabalpur district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

Panagar is located at 23°18′N 79°59′E / 23.3°N 79.98°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 377 metres (1,236 feet).
Demographics[edit | edit source]
As of 2001[update] India census,[2] Panagar had a population of 25,143. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Panagar has an average literacy rate of 68%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 75%, and female literacy is 60%. In Panagar, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
