Maddikera is a village in the Maddikera mandal in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, India.
History[edit]
In 1953, 11 Telugu speaking districts of Madras State became Andhra State with Kurnool as its capital. In 1956, Andhra State and Telangana merged together to form Andhra Pradesh. As per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, 10 districts were carved out of Andhra Pradesh to form Telangana.[1]
In 2022, the larger Kurnool district was split into Kurnool and Nandyal districts.[2]

Maddikera is located at the border of Kurnool district 15°15′00″N 77°25′00″E / 15.2500°N 77.4167°E.[3] It has an average elevation of 456 meters (1499 feet).
