Kowthalam
Kowthalam is a village in the Kowthalam mandal, located in Kurnool district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Kowthalam mandal consists 32 Villages. [2]

HistoryEdit
In 1953, 11 Telugu speaking districts of Madras State became Andhra State with Kurnool as its capital. In 1956, Andhra State and Telangana merged together to form Andhra Pradesh. As per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, 10 districts were carved out of Andhra Pradesh to form Telangana.[3]
In 2022, the larger Kurnool district was split into Kurnool and Nandyal districts.[4]
