Gokavaram
Gokavaram is a village in the Gokavaram mandal of the East Godavari district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.[2]

HistoryEdit
Rajahmundry district was formed in 1823 and in 1859 bifurcated into Godavari District and Krishna district. In 1925, Godavari district was split into East Godavari district and West Godavari district.[3][4]
The reorganisation of the districts in 2022 increased the number of districts in Andhra Pradesh from 13 to 26.[5]

Gokavaram is located at 17°16′00″N 81°51′00″E / 17.2667°N 81.8500°E, about 20 km driveaway from Rajahmundry Airport.[6] It has an average elevation of 45 meters (150 feet).
