DND–Faridabad–KMP Expressway is an under-construction 59 Km long, 6/12-lane wide access-controlled Expressway in Delhi NCR region of India.[1] It will connect the junction of DND Flyway and Delhi Ring Road with the KMP Expressway near Sohna. Now, it is a part of Delhi–Mumbai Expressway project.

The access-controlled expressway project will start at the DND Flyway–Delhi Ring Road junction, pass through the Kalindi Kunj bypass and FaridabadBallabhgarh bypass, and will finish at the interchange of Western Peripheral Expressway or KMP Expressway at Hassanpur Sohna village in Nuh district.[2]

A 12 Km long national highway is also proposed in Faridabad district. It will connect Chandawali village on DND–KMP Expressway with Maujpur village on Eastern Peripheral Expressway or KGP Expressway.[3]

Construction[edit]

In August 2020, the construction work of the Delhi–Sohna section was awarded by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to DRA Infracon Private Limited.[4] This project will reduce congestion in Ashram-Badarpur-Faridabad-Ballabhgarh region. This Expressway will have 3-lane service roads on either side for about 29 km, 7.35 km of the elevated section with two-level crossings at 4 locations of the metro rail line, 18 new underpasses, and 9 interchanges with improved junctions.

The construction cost of project is nearly 3,580 crore.[5] This Expressway is part of Delhi pollution check plan to tackle high air pollution in Delhi.

Delhi–Mumbai Expressway[edit]

The construction work of Delhi–Mumbai Expressway is divided into 4 sections with a total of 52 tenders/ construction packages as given below. The entire 1,350 Km long expressway is expected to be completed by January 2023.
