The Ahir Regiment also Known as Yadav Regiment' is a proposed infantry regiment of the Indian Army that has been requested by the Yadava community.[1][2]

Prime Minster and Defence Minister Role[edit]
Yogendra Singh Yadav is a hero of Battle of Tiger Hill and his bravery received highest military medal Param Vir Chakra from indian government, Now he the president of Ahir Regiment Mission and leading the protest,meet several times Prime minister and Defence Minister of India for the formation in honor to Ahir Dham battle in 1962.[3][4]
State Wise demand[edit]
- Haryana The Ahir marched on the Delhi-Gurugram expressway.[5]Arvind Kumar Sharma is a Member of Parliament from Rohtak,Haryana has requested to government in Lok Sabha to form the regiment.[6] Rao Inderjit Singh is the Minister of State Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation in the Government of India and member of Parliament from Gurgaon,Haryana has been given full support to the demand for the creation of an Ahir Regiment in the Indian Army[7][8]

- Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh wrote letter to Prime minister of India to create Ahir Regiment in Indian Army before 2024 general elections.Vivek Tankha member of the Rajya Sabha, upper house of the Parliament of India from Madhya Pradesh has written letter to government to form the regiment.[9][10][11]
- Uttar Pradesh Dinesh Lal Yadav member of parliament Lok Sabha has requested government to form Ahir Regiment in Indian Army[12] Samajwadi Party president and former chief ministers of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav had promised during 2019 Indian general election to form regiment if comes in powers.[13][14]
- Bihar Manoj Jha is a member of Rajya Sabha, upper house of the Parliament of India from Bihar has raised related to Ahir regiment to government in Lok Sabha to form the regiment due to historical army background of the community.[15][16]
- Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot is the current chief ministers of Rajasthan has written to government to form Ahir Regiment in Indian Army.[17] Hanuman Beniwal is a Member of Parliament in Lok Sabha from Nagaur,Rajasthan has written a letter to Rajnath Singh Defence Minister of India to create a new Infantry in Indian Army to Yadav community like caste based Jat Regiment,Rajput Regiment.[18]
Battle Slogan[edit]
After the victory of Ahir Dham war from China in 1962. In 1963 on the occasion of Republic Day (26 January 1963) remembered by Lata Mangeshkar by a song Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo in presence of Prime minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru

In Kumaon Regiment recruits maximum number of soldier from Ahir/Yadav in 13 Kumaon and 11 Kumaon are both pure Ahir battalions.[19]
