Nallajerla mandal is one of the 19 mandals in East Godavari district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh having population of 80,388 as of 2011 census. It is administered under Eluru revenue division and its headquarters are located at Nallajerla.[1]

History

Rajahmundry district was formed in 1823 and in 1859 bifurcated into Godavari District and Krishna district. In 1925, Godavari district was split into East Godavari district and West Godavari district.[2][3]

The reorganisation of the districts in 2022 increased the number of districts in Andhra Pradesh from 13 to 26.[4]

Towns and villages

As of 2011 census, the mandal has 12 settlements. Nallajerla is the most populated and Chodavaram is the least populated village in the mandal.[5]
