I think the subject may meet the basic notability criteria, as he has worked in several South Indian films. However, his full name is Sumesh Moor. Could you please explain why the draft uses only "Moor" instead of his full name? Would it be more appropriate to use "Sumesh Moor" as the article title? I understand your question. I’m not trying to make this about an article or simply about changing a name. I genuinely care about the actor and his work, and I feel strongly about representing him in the way he is known professionally. “Moor” is the name he has built his identity around, and that is why I felt it was important to mention it. I have a lot of respect and affection for him as an actor, and I only want the information to reflect the identity he himself uses publicly. That’s the reason I’m being particular about the name. I’m saying this purely as a well-wisher and admirer of Moor’s work, not on his behalf.

I understand that encyclopaedic platforms have their own naming and conflict-of-interest guidelines, and I respect that. But I do wonder about one thing: when an actor is genuinely trying to establish a professional identity and build a name for himself through his work, shouldn’t that effort also have some space to grow?

“Moor” is the identity he is trying to build as an actor. For someone who has worked hard and is gradually becoming recognised under that name, it can be discouraging when public platforms consistently default to another name and, in the process, make it harder for the professional identity he is building to gain recognition.

I’m not asking the platform to ignore its rules or give him special treatment. I’m only asking that, where reliable independent sources support the use of “Moor”, his chosen professional identity be given fair consideration.
