The WikiProject Directory serves as the central hub for all active, inactive, and proposed WikiProjects on Bharatpedia. WikiProjects are groups of editors who work together as a team to improve coverage, organization, and article quality for specific subject areas.

Overview

WikiProjects provide noticeboards, style guides, assessment metrics, and collaboration spaces for topics ranging from regional history and geography to science, technology, and site maintenance.

• Active Projects: Currently running projects with active participants and ongoing tasks.
• Proposed Projects: New project ideas looking for interested contributors before official setup.
• Inactive / Defunct: Projects that are currently dormant due to lack of activity.

How to Propose a New WikiProject

If you want to start a project for a topic not listed above:

1. Check if a similar project already exists in this directory.
2. Ensure there are at least 2–3 interested editors willing to maintain the project page.
3. Post a proposal on the WikiProject Council Talk Page outlining the scope, goals, and initial task list.
4. Create the project page once consensus is reached.
