Thyene is a genus of jumping spiders that was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1885.[5] It is a junior synonym of Mithion,[3] and senior synonym of Paramodunda and Gangus.[2][4]

As of August 2019 it contains forty-seven species and one subspecies, found in Africa, Europe, Asia, Brazil, and Queensland:[1]
