Kunavaram is a village in the Kunavaram mandal in the Alluri Sitharama Raju district, Andhra Pradesh.[1] Kunavaram was a part of Khammam district of then newly formed Telangana until the transfer of 7 mandals including it to then newly formed Andhra Pradesh.[2]

History[edit]

In 2022, as a part of the raising the number of districts in Andhra Pradesh from 13 to 26, Visakhapatnam district was split into three districts – Alluri Sitharama Raju district, Anakapalli district and Visakhapatnam district.[3]

Kunavaram is located at 17°35′00″N 81°16′00″E / 17.5833°N 81.2667°E / 17.5833; 81.2667.[4] It has an average elevation of 28 metres (95 ft).
