Paderu is a village in the Paderu mandal in the Alluri Sitharama Raju district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.[2]

HistoryEdit

In 2022, as a part of the raising the number of districts in Andhra Pradesh from 13 to 26, Visakhapatnam district was split into three districts – Alluri Sitharama Raju district, Anakapalli district and Visakhapatnam district.[3]

GeographyEdit

Paderu is located at 18°05′00″N 82°40′01″E / 18.0833°N 82.667°E / 18.0833; 82.667.[4] It has an average elevation of 904 meters (2,969 feet).

CultureEdit

Paderu is the center of the Visakha agency. The Integrated Tribal Development Authority (I.T.D.A) is located in Paderu. Coffee plantations in Minimuluru circle are very famous.[clarification needed]

The Integrated Tribal Development Authority (ITDA) takes care of all welfare programmes in the Paderu agency area. A project officer is appointed by the Government to take care of the activities of the ITDA. There is also a sub-collector appointed in this area.[definition needed] There is also an additional superintendent of police appointed in this area.[citation needed]
