Traction[edit]

Both trains are hauled by a Siliguri Loco Shed-based WDM-3A diesel locomotive from Kamakhya to Gorakhpur. From Gorakhpur the train is hauled by a Ghaziabad Loco Shed-based WAM-4 electric locomotive up till Katra, and vice versa.
