I. Polavaram or Island Polavaram is a village in I. Polavaram Mandal, located in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.[2]

History[edit]

Konaseema district was one of the thirteen new districts formed on 4 April 2022.[3][4][5]According to the Gazette Notification No. 1156 dated 2 August 2022, Konaseema District was renamed as Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Konaseema District.[6]

Politics[edit]

I. Polavaram Mandal comes under the Mummidivaram (Assembly constituency) and is a part of the Amalapuram (Lok Sabha constituency)
