Hania Aamir, born on 12 February 1997, is a well-known Pakistani actress who primarily works in Urdu films and television. She has earned accolades including a Hum Award and an ARY Film Award, along with five nominations for the Lux Style Awards.

Aamir launched her acting career with the comedy film Janaan in 2016, followed by her television debut in the drama Titli in 2017. She gained further recognition through her role in the romantic drama "Anaa" (2019) and also appeared in notable films like Na Maloom Afraad 2 (2017), the war film Parwaaz Hai Junoon (2018), and the romantic drama Ishqiya (2020). Her popularity soared with the series Mere Humsafar in 2022, and she received acclaim for her performance in the romantic drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum in 2024. The former garnered her a nomination for the Lux Style Award for Best TV Actress.

Career Overview[edit | edit source]

Early Work (2016-2019)[edit | edit source]

While studying at the Foundation for Advancement of Science and Technology (FAST-NUCES), Aamir auditioned for the romantic comedy "Janaan" in 2016, marking the beginning of her career. She then portrayed a beauty-obsessed and unfaithful wife in the 2017 romantic drama "Titli." Her role in the Hum TV drama "Phir Wohi Mohabbat" also earned her the Best Television Sensation Female award at the Hum Awards that same year. Aamir played a determined bride-to-be in the heist comedy "Na Maloom Afraad 2," and the following year, she starred in "Parwaaz Hai Junoon" alongside actors like Hamza Ali Abbasi and Ahad Raza Mir. She also played a relatable girl in the melodrama "Visaal" (2018) opposite Zahid Ahmed and Saboor Aly.

In 2019, Aamir took on the role of a free-spirited heiress in "Anaa," where she also sang the title track with Sahir Ali Bagga, which has since garnered over 8 million views on YouTube, earning her positive reviews.

Rise to Fame (2020–Present)[edit | edit source]

In 2020, Aamir portrayed Rumaisa Siddique, a carefree character in "Ishqiya," opposite Feroze Khan. This role earned her a nomination for Best Actress TV at the 2nd Pakistan International Screen Awards. She also played a flirty TikTok star named Sanam Jameel in "Dil Ruba."

The following year, she starred as Hala in "Mere Humsafar" alongside Farhan Saeed, receiving nominations for the Lux Style Awards in both Best TV Actress and Best TV Actress – Critics' Choice categories. Aamir made a brief appearance as Gul Meena in the ensemble drama "Sang-e-Mah." In 2023, she played Maheer Saad Hussain in the romantic drama "Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha," which received mixed reviews. In 2024, she featured in "Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum," portraying Sharjeena, a role that was well-received. Looking ahead, in 2025, Aamir will make her debut in the Indian Punjabi film industry with "Sardaar Ji 3," acting alongside Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa.

Other Work and Media Presence[edit | edit source]

Aamir is regarded as one of Pakistan's most popular and highest-paid actresses. She has been included in Hello Pakistan's HOT100 list under the "Headliners" category and walked the ramp for Zainab Chottani during "Pakistan Fashion Week" in 2019. She has participated in various photoshoots for designers like Asim Jofa and has served as a brand ambassador for several brands, including Maybelline New York and Sprite. In 2022, she was appointed the brand ambassador for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League. Aamir holds the title of the most-followed Pakistani celebrity on Instagram, surpassing Ayeza Khan, and was ranked 9th in Eastern Eye's Top 50 Asian Stars of 2024.

Following the Pahalgam attack in 2025 and escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, access to the Instagram accounts of several Pakistani artists, including Aamir, was restricted in India. After this incident, a fabricated statement claiming that Aamir had appealed to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the ban circulated widely on social media. Aamir later addressed the issue by posting a detailed clarification on her Instagram Stories, stating that the quote was false and she had not made any such appeal.
