Bennett University is a private university located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh in the National Capital Region, India. Founded in 2016 by Times of India Group and established under Uttar Pradesh Act No. 24 of 2016,[2][3][4] the university has a fully residential 68-acre campus, near the proposed metro station on the Noida-Greater Noida metro railway line.

Bennett University has tied up with following international institutions for curriculum design, guest lectures by visiting faculty, immersion programs, and other academic support.

Academic Structure and Admission[edit]

The university has 5 schools and 2 centres on its campus. It offers Undergraduate, Post graduate and PhD programs in the areas of Engineering, Management, Law, and Media.[10] The medium of instruction is English.

School of Engineering and Applied Sciences[edit]

The school of Engineering and Applied Sciences offers BTech programs in association with Georgia Institute of Technology, U.S. Admission is based on either JEE Main or SAT scores for all applicants.[14]

SEAS also offers PhD programs in all its disciplines. The admission to PhD program is held through a written and interview based admission test held twice a year.[10]

School of Management[edit]

The School of Management offers following three programs:[23]

BA Liberal Arts

Both BBA and MBA programs are in academic association with Johnson Cornell University, U.S.[7]

School of Law[edit]

The School of Law offers nine programs currently:[25]

  • 3 years LLB (Hons)
  • 1 year LL.M (Regular)
  • 2 years LL.M (Weekend Course)
  • 1 year PG Diploma in Intellectual Property Law (IPR)
  • 1 year PG Diploma in Cyber Law
  • 1 year Diploma in Labour Law
  • PH.D in Law

Bennett School of Law has entered into an MoU with Cornell Law School U.S, for 5 years BBA LLB (Hons), BA LLB (Hons) and 3 years LLB (Hons) courses.[6]

Times School of Media and Mass Communication[edit]

The Times School of Media and Mass Communication is an interdisciplinary professional school and offers the following programs:[26]

  • 3 years BA Journalism and Mass Communication (English)
  • 3 years BA Journalism and Mass Communication (Hindi)
  • 1 year PGD Digital Journalism
  • PH.D in Media

School of Liberal Arts[edit]

  • BA Liberal Arts Majors available in Psychology, English, Marketing, Advertising & Public Relations, Political Science, Journalism, Philosophy, Finance, Business Studies and Economics.

This is however not an fully established school in the University and BA Liberal Arts Program will be provided by School Of Management (SOM) Bennett University.

Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE)[edit]

CIE in collaboration with Babson College, United States fosters an environment of innovation and entrepreneurship. The partnership has set up 'The Bennett Hatchery", the on-campus incubator, which provides physical space, funding, training, mentoring and resources needed to start their projects.[27]

Center of Executive Education[edit]

The Center of Executive Education offers executive programs primarily focused towards personal and professional development of industry personnel.[27]

Student Clubs & Societies[edit]

University has an active student life and provides ample opportunities to students with varied interests to participate in different activities and events organized by these clubs from time to time. A few clubs active are Alexis Club, Nomads club, Astronomy club, ISSAC club, Robotics Club, BU Pulse, SPIC MACAY among others.

Campus[edit]

The Bennett University has a completely residential 68 acre campus located 10 km from Pari Chowk, Greater Noida.

The campus contains administrative and academic blocks (consisting of classrooms and labs), girls and boys hostels, and sports facility.

It has a supercomputer (NVIDIA), purchased through a MoU between School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and NVIDIA.[28]

CXO Series[edit]

CXO series is a periodic event where university invites industry leaders of different fields to interact and share their experience.[29] So far, the following industry seniors have visited the campus:[30][31][32]
