Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si (transl. Some Unsaid Conversations) is an India Hindi-language drama television series for Star Plus. It stream digitally on Disney+ Hotstar. Produced by Rajan Shahi under Director's Kut Productions. It stars Mohit Malik and Sayli Salunkhe.

Premise[edit]

Vandana Karmarkar, a 35 year old woman is struggling to make a mark in the Indian music industry with her unique voice. What will happen when the owner of a renowned music studio, Kunal Malhotra crosses paths with her?

Casting[edit]

Initially Drashti Dhami and Sriti Jha were approached to play the female lead.[2] Later, Mohit Malik as Kunal Malhotra and Sayli Salunkhe as Vandana Karmarkar were signed as the lead.[3]

Development[edit]

The series title is inspired by the song Baatein Kuch Ankahein Si, from the 2007 Bollywood movie, Life in a... Metro.[citation needed] The series was announced on Star Plus by Director's Kut Productions. It is Director's Kut Productions first attempt at a mature love story.[3]

Music[edit]

The title track has been sung by Usha Uthup and Sanam.[4] The musical event for the launch of title track was attended by the cast of Anupamaa and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.[5][6]

Release[edit]

Initially scheduled to premiere on 8 August 2023, it was postponed for two weeks.[7] The launch event for the series was held on 19 August 2023.[8]
