Sayyeshaa Saigal (born 12 August 1997), known mononymously as Sayyeshaa, is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Tamil-language films.[4][5] After working in a Telugu film Akhil (2015),[6] she made her Bollywood debut in Ajay Devgn's Shivaay (2016),[7][8] and her Tamil debut in the film Vanamagan (2017).[9]
Personal life
She is the daughter of actors Sumeet Saigal and Shaheen Banu. She is the grandniece of actors Saira Banu[10] and Dilip Kumar.[1] On 10 March 2019, she married Arya (her co-star in the films Ghajinikanth, Kaappaan and Teddy), according to Muslim traditions.[11][12][13][14] The couple has a daughter born in July 2021.[15]
Career
Sayyeshaa made her debut in the cinema industry with the Telugu film Akhil (2015). She made her Bollywood debut opposite Ajay Devgn in his second directorial film Shivaay.[16] Her movie Vanamagan hit the theatres in June 2017, marking her Tamil debut.[17][18][19] [20] In 2018, she starred in Kadaikutty Singam with Karthi,[21] Junga with Vijay Sethupathi[22] and Ghajinikanth with Arya.[23] In 2019, she starred in Kaappaan alongside Suriya, Mohanlal, and Arya.[24][25][26]
