This page is for reporting issues regarding biographies of living persons. Generally this means cases where editors are repeatedly adding defamatory or libelous material to articles about living people over an extended period.

This page is not for simple vandalism or material which can easily be removed without argument. If you can, simply remove the offending material.
Familiarize yourself with the biographies of living persons policy before reporting issues here.
Important: Do not copy and paste any defamatory or libelous information to this noticeboard. Link to a diff showing the dispute, but do not paste the information here.

Note that edits by the subject of an article may be welcome in some cases.
Place the {{BLP noticeboard}} template on the talk page of articles that are being discussed here, and remove it when the discussion is resolved.
For general content disputes regarding biographical articles, consider using Bharatpedia:Requests for comment/Biographies instead.
All editors are encouraged to assist fellow editors regarding the reports below. Administrators may impose contentious topic restrictions to enforce Bharatpedia's policies.

Notes for volunteers

For questions that are not a "quick fix", such as reverting obvious vandalism, or erroneously referenced information, consider adding the {{BLP noticeboard}} template to the article's talk page and remove it when the issues have been resolved. Use the date and section parameters, e.g.

{{BLP noticeboard|date=August 2026|section= your "subject/headline" }}

to help people find the new section you are adding to the noticeboard.

How do I mark an incident as resolved or addressed?

You can use {{Resolved|Your reason here ~~~~}} at the top of the section containing the report. PLEASE at least leave a comment about a BLP report, if doing so might spare other editors the task of needlessly repeating some of what you have done. Don't forget to remove the {{BLP noticeboard}} template from the article's talk page.

More ways to help

Categorize: Potential BLPs
Check new BLPs: Recently-created unreferenced BLPs
Monitor recent changes to BLPs: BLP watchlist (may be long to load)
Remove BLP violations: Unsourced statements, All unreferenced BLPs, BLPs lacking sources, Negative unsourced content
Possible vandalism or libelous edits (as detected by edit filters 39, 339 and 189), Removal of Category:Living people (filter 117)
People who may no longer be living: EN wiki BLPs marked as dead on other Wikipedias
Fix the random unreferenced BLP of the day: Bharatpedia:Biographies of living persons/randomunreferenced
Search BLPs for violations by typing in the search box something like: lowlife incategory: Living_people (note that the underscore is necessary)
