Cannot create Draft: Internal error - lnl_restore() function missing

Hi Admins,

I am a new user trying to create "Draft:Sairaj Gandhe". But I am getting this Internal Error every time, even when I try to save just the word "Test":

Error: Call to undefined function MediaWiki\Extension\AbuseFilter\Parser\lnl_restore()

Backtrace shows the error is in /extensions/AbuseFilter/includes/Parser/FilterEvaluator.php

It seems the AbuseFilter extension is broken for new page creations by new users. Please can you check the server and fix the missing lnl_restore() function?

1. Upload the image: Visit Special:Upload and select the image file from your device.
2. Complete the upload: Enter the required information, give the file an appropriate name, and click Upload file.
3. Edit the article: Open the article or section where you want to add the image and click Edit.
4. Add the image: Place this code where you want the image to appear: [[File:Example.jpg|thumb|Caption here]] Replace `Example.jpg` with the exact name of the uploaded file and add a suitable caption.
5. Save the page: Preview the changes if needed, then publish the edit.

Captcha Issue

In the Discussion section of donate Page, It asks for captcha but there's no captcha (See screenshot). Also, cloudfare prompts come many times while using the website which is inconvenient? Is it necessary when I am already logged in to my Bharatpedia account?

Case sensitive page names

When I search for a page, the results do not appear if my input uses a different case (lowercase or uppercase). For example, searching for “BP:Draft” does not show “BP:DRAFT”. Typeerror issue is resolved automatically.

There is still an issue that “BP:” and “Bharatpedia” are not used interchangeably. For example, if I search for “BP: Help Desk”, nothing is found, so I have to search specifically for “Bharatpedia: Help Desk”. Dokania (talk) 16:36, 24 September 2026 (IST)

Citoid

Would it be possible to add Citoid support to BharatPedia? Citoid is the feature in Wikipedia's VisualEditor that automatically generates citations from URLs and similar sources. Manually adding citations every time is quite tedious. Dokania (talk) 16:38, 24 September 2026 (IST)

@Dokania: Citoid for VisualEditor is still being worked on. Meanwhile I have successfully created and enabled RefToolbar on Bharatpedia. It is the Cite tool, and does more than Citoid's automatic URL fill: citation templates, named references, and a basic error check.

How to use it

1. Open the article in source edit (not VisualEditor).
2. In the toolbar, open Cite.
3. Choose Templates → web, news, book, or journal.
4. Paste a URL (or ISBN / DOI / PMID) and click the magnifying-glass icon to autofill. Check the fields, then click Insert.
5. Named references reuses a <ref>...</ref> already on the page. Error check looks for common citation problems.

Autofill is not perfect on every website; please review the generated template before saving. If you find any bug or issue (Cite button missing, autofill not filling, wrong template, etc.), please let me know with the article title, your browser, and what you clicked so I can fix it. Import Articles from Wikipedia

Can we import articles in bulk from Wikipedia? I want articles of Indian politics, Indian film industry and specifically Sanskrit related pages. We can then improve those articles here. Dokania (talk) 16:40, 24 September 2026 (IST)

Yes, Wikipedia content can generally be reused because it is released under an open licence, but bulk importing should preserve the required attribution/licensing information. It would also be better to import selected articles rather than entire categories, and then independently review and improve them using reliable sources. As Editorial Oversight said above, reusing Wikipedia content is generally allowed. However, it is generally requested and expected that, rather than directly importing articles, contributors rewrite the content in their own language and post it here. The same applies to articles that have already been imported. Those articles should be rewritten in our own language rather than simply being left as direct copies of Wikipedia content.

We can certainly use Wikipedia as a starting point, including for topics such as Indian politics, the Indian film industry, and Sanskrit-related subjects, but the aim should be to develop the content into Bharatpedia articles through rewriting, independent sourcing, and improvement.

Also, please note that the mass import feature is not enabled on Bharatpedia, so bulk importing articles from Wikipedia is currently not available. Articles would need to be worked on individually and rewritten appropriately. WikiDwarf (talk) 17:56, 24 September 2026 (IST)

Yeah that manually creating hundreds of related articles would be cumbersome, especially for large film lists. Perhaps we could explore whether a technical import tool or a controlled batch-import process could be enabled in the future, with attribution preserved and imported articles placed in a review/rewrite workflow. The abuse log appears to be clean and shows no results, so this may be a rate-limit or throttling issue rather than an abuse-filter violation. Editorial Oversight is right above. The message is coming from MediaWiki's normal anti-abuse rate limit, rather than an AbuseFilter violation. Your account was created on 22 September 2026 and currently has 28 edits. New accounts are temporarily subject to a lower editing rate limit of 8 edits per minute until they become autoconfirmed. Once the account reaches the required age, you should automatically receive autoconfirmed status, assuming the normal account requirements are met. You therefore don't need to change anything on your side. The restriction should disappear automatically once the account qualifies for autoconfirmed status.
