Veldurthy is a village in Palnadu district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Veldurthi mandal of Gurazala revenue division.[1]:14

History[edit]

As per Gazettee No. 939 of 26 January 2022, the old Guntur District, formed in 1904, was split into three districts – Guntur, Palnadu and Bapatla.[3]

Geography[edit]

Veldurthy is located at 16°21′00″N 79°22′00″E / 16.35°N 79.3667°E / 16.35; 79.3667.[4] Jerri Vagu is the source of water for the village and its surrounding areas.[5]

Governance[edit]

Veldurthi gram panchayat is the local self-government of the village.[6]
