Rajupalem is a village in Palnadu district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a gram panchayat and the mandal headquarters of Rajupalem mandal in Sattenapalli Revenue Division.[1][2]

History[edit]

As per Gazettee No. 939 of 26 January 2022, the old Guntur District, formed in 1904, was split into three districts – Guntur, Palnadu and Bapatla.[3]

Geography[edit]

Rajupalem covers an area of 11.78 sq km.[2]

Demographics[edit]

According to the 2011 census, Rajupalem village had a population of 4,139. It had a literacy rate of 60.04%.[2]

Education[edit]

  • APSWR School and Junior College, established in 2002, has Telugu/ English medium, and classes up to Senior Secondary/ Higher Secondary level. It is a girls institution affiliated to Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education (BIEAP) and Andhra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (BSEAP).[4]
  • St. Francis De Sales English Medium School was established in 2015. It is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education. It is new and is growing up.[5]
