Shubhapallaba (Odia: ଶୁଭପଲ୍ଲବ) is a monthly Odia e-magazine founded by Sangram Keshari Senapati publishing since January 2018.[2] Initially, it was a quarterly magazine and two editions of this magazine were released as Nabapallaba.[3] From January 2020 the edition changed to monthly. In April 2019, the Odia portal of this magazine has launched. Later the portals in English, Hindi, Telugu, Bengali, Punjabi, and Sanskrit portals have launched.[4]
History[edit]
On 20 December 2017, Sangram Keshari Senapati has announced to start an e-magazine in Odia language and named it Nabapallaba. Later Tapas Ranjan has joined the team as an editor with Sangram. The 1st edition of this magazine was released on 1 January 2018.[5] After the 1st edition, the team worked to publish audio magazines and started recording the published articles for YouTube.[6]
Later Sambeet Das joined the team as the graphic designer. On 21 February 2018, the theme song of the magazine released on YouTube composed and sung by Manas Ranjan Dash and written by Saswat Swain.[6] After the 2nd edition in April 2018, the name of the magazine changed to Shubhapallaba.[7] From January 2020 the team changed the frequency from quarterly to monthly.
Web Portal[edit]
On 1 April 2019 on the occasion of Utkala Dibas, the Odia web portal of this magazine has launched with the domain shubhapallaba.in to publish more articles regularly. Later in Jun 2019, the English portal of this magazine has launched with the domain www.shubhapallaba.com and later the portals in different languages like Hindi, Sanskrit, Bengali, Telugu, and Punjabi have launched by the Shubhapallaba group.[3][8]
Shubhapallaba Store[edit]
In 2020, the Shubhapallaba group has launched its e-commerce website Shubhapallaba store to support the literature work financially. The aim of this store to sell local products of Odisha at the national level and books by Indian writers.[9]
Publication[edit]
In 2019, Shubhapallaba has started publishing eBooks. The 1st eBook by this team is Durga Puja in Odisha by their founder Sangram and his father Abhimanyu Senapati. This eBook is available on Amazon Kindle.[10] Later a number of eBooks have released on Magzter, Issuu, Google Books, and also available on Shubhapallaba Store. Shubhapallaba is also working on paperbacks and published some books like Shankhanada by Pramod Kumar Panda, Biswas by Rajesh Kumar Barik in 2021.[11]
Shubhodaya[edit]
Shubhapallaba group has launched another magazine named Shubhodaya from 2020 Durga Puja. The founder Sangram is working as the editor of this magazine.[12] This magazine releases on Odia month Sankranti.
ShubhaVani[edit]
In 2021, Shubhapallaba launched its podcast website and mobile app as ShubhaVani. Along with ShubhaVani app, the podcasts also available on Amazon Music, Audible, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Hubhopper, Gaana, JioSaavn.
