Sawakheda is a village in Shahade in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from sub district headquarter and 35 kilometres (22 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India).[1]


Demography[edit]

As of 2009, The village has a total number of 215 houses and a population of 1176 of which 620 are males while 556 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 59 people are from Schedule Caste and 656 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
