Sakharayapatna is a panchayat town in Chikmagalur district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The town is situated midway on Kadur- Chikkamagaluru highway; 18 km from Kadur, 23 km from Chikmagalur. It is 174 km from Mangalore, and 226 km from Bengaluru.
The name of the town literally means "the town of the ruler named Sakharaya" in the Kannada Language.
The region around Sakharayapatna is famous for producing juicy Jackfruits.
