Rajput Mali ( Sainik Kshatriya ) and also called Mandorva Rajput is a distinctive ethnic group from Marwar, Rajasthan.[1][2] [better source needed]

Adoption of new identity in 1930–1940[edit]

Rajput Mali community adopted the surname of "Sainik kshatriya" in the 1930-1940 decade during the colonial rule[3][need quotation to verify] and claimed to be Sainik Kshatriya when registering for the 1941 census.[4][need quotation to verify] The order for adoption of the new surname is given by the maharaja of jodhpur.The original copy of this order is now preserved by "sainik kshatriya sanskratik sanvardhan evam itihas shodh sanstha jodhpur" The order is:
