Rajaram III received a private education and was adopted in 1874 by Tarabai, the widow of Pratap Singh II of Satara. The adoption was carried out with the specific agreement that he would inherit only her personal and real property. He was acknowledged as a first-class Sardar of the Deccan and was allotted a reduced pension along with certain gratuities. Rajaram III passed away in Satara on 10 April 1904.[1][2]
