Pratap Singh II, also known as Bhau Sahib, was born as Shrimant Sardar Rajaram Bhonsle of Satara and received a private education. He was adopted on 18 May 1865 by Sagunabai Raje Bhonsle, the widow of Shahaji. Following his adoption, he took the name Pratap Singh II and assumed the princely titles and dignities associated with the Satara royal house. He was married to Tarabai Raje Sahib Bhonsle. Pratap Singh II passed away in Satara in 1874.[1][2]
