Politics of Goa

The key political players in Goa state in Western India are the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, Indian National Congress, Aam Aadmi Party , Goa Forward Party, Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, Nationalist Congress Party and Revolutionary Goans. As of 2021, the All India Trinamool Congress ( AITC ) has entered the state eyeing the early 2022 state assembly elections.

National politics[edit]

There are only 2 Lok Sabha (lower house of the Indian Parliament) constituencies in Goa.

State politics[edit]

The Goa Legislative Assembly has 40 seats.[1]
