The Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) (abbr. NCP(AP)) is a split away faction from Nationalist Congress Party under the presidentship of Sharad Pawar, Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra.[6] The Faction still respects Sharad Pawar as their guru (Respected Teacher).[7]

History[edit]

In July 2023, majority of the elected representatives of the party led by Ajit Pawar joined the National Democratic Alliance government. This caused a direct split between Ajit Pawar and the Founder and President of the party Sharad Pawar.[8]
