Kohli is a Khatri clan originating from Punjab and parts of Jammu in Jammu and Kashmir in north-western India.
The clan is a member of the Khukhrain of the Khatri sub-caste, the other seven members being Anand, Arora, Sahni/Sawhney, Sethi, Bhasin, Sabharwal, Chadha and Suri.[1]
The neighborhood Kohlian da Mohalla (Mohalla Kohlian Wala) in Bhera, Punjab, Pakistan is named after the clan.

Kohli is also a Swiss-German surname, originally spelled Köhli.
