Jeet Prime (formerly known as Discovery Jeet) is an Hindi Entertainment channel which was owned by Discovery Communications India broadcasting in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and English languages. This channel was launched on 12 February 2018 by telecasting Family Drama, Crime, Historical, Comedy and Horror shows.
History[edit]
Discovery Jeet was launched in 12 February 2018 by Discovery Communications India as a Hindi-language entertainment channel by replacing the former Hindi entertainment channel Investigation Discovery.
The company also shifted their headquarters from Delhi to Mumbai which is more suited for building a national general entertainment channel.[1] It aims to create 1000 hours of original content a year.[2] The shows will also be available digitally via Netflix.[3] The channel had a reach of 140 million on the day of launch.[4]
Discovery announced plans to revamp the channel with dubbed content from Scripps after low ratings.[5]
In 8 February 2019, the channel was renamed as Jeet Prime to gain ratings from other television channels. But However, things did not work out as planned and on 13 January 2020, the channel was rebranded again to Investigation Discovery.
