Clean UP, Green UP

Clean UP, Green UP is the name of an initiative to increase awareness around all eco-friendly works done towards a ‘Green Goal’ in Uttar Pradesh by the state government. It covers every initiative including solar energy, plastic ban, cycle tracks, conservation of forests and animals/birds, etc.[1] Uttar Pradesh is in the Guinness Book of World Records for planting most number of saplings in one day[2] The government distributed and planted 10,38,578 saplings in ten locations on 7 November 2015 as part of the initiative.[3]
