Bheem Singh (born 5 June 1997) is an Indian rower from Rajasthan. He is named in the Indian rowing team for the 2022 Asian Games at Hangzhou, China. He competes in the men's coxed eight event. He was part of the Indian team that won the silver medal in the Coxed eight event in the 2022 Asian Games.[1][2][3][4]

The Indian team consisted of Neeraj Maan, Naresh Kalwaniya, Neetish Kumar, Charanjeet Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Bheem Singh, Puneet Kumar and Ashish. Dhananjay Pande was the coxswain of the team. All the Indian team members are from the Indian Army and have trained at the Army Rowing Node facility in Pune for over a year. Neetish went home only once in January to spend a week with his wife and spent rest of the time with his rowing team. He rows the third seat in the eight.

Early life[edit]

Bheem hails from Alwar in Rajasthan. His father is a millet's farmer. He has a sister, who is married.[5] Bheem joined Army and competed for Services in the domestic tournaments.

Bheem took part in the following championships:[6]

  • 2023: Men's coxed four in the Rowing World Cup, Zagreb.
  • 2023: Men's coxed four in the Rowing World Cup, Lucerne, Switzerland.
  • 2022: Men's coxed eight in the Rowing World Cup at Poznan.
  • 2022: Men's coxed four in the Rowing World Cup, Belgrade.
  • 2022: Men's coxed four in the Asian Championships, Rayong, Thailand.
