BML Munjal University is a fully residential and co-educational private university located in Sidhrawali, Gurgaon district, Haryana, India. The University was founded in 2014 by the promoters of the Hero Group,[1] and is named after the group's chairman and founder Brij Mohan Lall Munjal. It offers B.Tech, BCom (Honours), BBA, MBA, Law and Ph.D degrees.

The university was launched in two phases. The School of Engineering & Technology, School of Management and School of Commerce will be established in phase I, beginning August 2014. In phase II, four additional schools are proposed: School of Liberal Arts, School of Art, Architecture & Design, School of Natural Sciences and School of Law.

International Academic Alliances[edit]

Imperial College London[2] is playing a mentoring role in the formation and operation of the School of Management and School of Commerce, and will also be the academic mentor for the School of Engineering & Technology. 25 BML Munjal University engineering students will have the opportunity to undertake a one-year MSc programme at Imperial College London Business School. Additionally, all students (BTech, BCom (Hons), BBA & MBA) will have the opportunity to join innovation camps and credit-based courses, which will include activities such as lectures, site visits, workshops, or say, writing a business plan.

BML Munjal University is a Founding Member of the India Global Higher Education Alliance, formed by the College Board.[3] BML Munjal University is one of ten institutions in India that accept the SAT domestically in their admissions process and which joined with foreign universities like University of Cambridge, MIT, Purdue, and University of Hong Kong to share best practices to improve the transition from secondary school to higher education in India.[4]

Institute of Inclusive Innovation[edit]

BML Munjal University and Imperial College London are the joint founders of the Institute of Inclusive Innovation, an applied research institute. Located on the BML Munjal University campus[5] Students will get an opportunity to work on live projects in the institute’s areas of focus that includes health, energy, water, education, urban development and economic empowerment, thereby getting invaluable experience in understanding and tackling critical social problems of the day.

Centres of Excellence[edit]

Industry partners will also be establishing Centres of Excellence on campus. The first such centre is being set up by Siemens PLM Software, to serve as a hub for technical skill development programmes in Haryana.[citation needed]
