Asalod is a village in Shahade in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from sub district headquarter and 54 kilometres (34 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]
Demography[edit | edit source]
As of 2009, The village has a total number of 660 houses and a population of 3125 of which 1602 are males while 1523 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 140 people are from Schedule Caste and 698 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
