Alkhed is a village in Shahade in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from sub district headquarter and 43 kilometres (27 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]
Demography[edit]
As of 2009, The village has a total number of 190 houses and a population of 959 of which 508 are males while 451 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 86 people are from Schedule Caste and 591 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
