Akal University is a private university in Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, India.[1] It is set up by Kalgidhar Society.[2]It was established in 2015 under The Akal University Act, 2015 (Punjab Act No. 25 of 2015).[3]

History[edit]

Akal University was approved by State Government in March 2015.[4] Inauguration of Akal University took place on 17 July 2015.[5]

Educational Programs[edit]

Akal University offers Bachelor with Honours in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Studies. Akal University also offers Bachelors as well as master's degrees[6] in:

  • Political Science (New faculty being set up)
  • Commerce
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Botany
  • Zoology
  • English
  • Punjabi
