Ananthagiri mandal is one of the 22 mandals in Alluri Sitharama Raju District of Andhra Pradesh. As per census 2011, there are 46 villages in this mandal.[2]

History

In 2022, as a part of the raising the number of districts in Andhra Pradesh from 13 to 26, Visakhapatnam district was split into three districts – Alluri Sitharama Raju district, Anakapalli district and Visakhapatnam district.[3]

Demographics

As per 2011 census, Ananthagiri mandal has a total population of 49,919, out of which 24,427 were males and 24,592 were females. The entire population lives in urban areas. [4]
